NoStars win BB Division Championship at Gloucester Women’s Tournament, Ottawa, ON
The NoStars started off the new year on a positive note. The team traveled to Ottawa, ON for the Gloucester Women’s Hockey Association’s annual tournament, January 13 through 15, 2006, and swept the BB division for the tournament championship.

The NoStars finished off the championship game in dramatic style: The NoStars took a 1-0 lead in the early in the second period, but a deeper, stronger Aylmar team evened the score with 1:13 remaining in the third period. The NoStars rallied, but the Aylmar goalie rose to the occasion and turned away a final-second bid, forcing sudden-death, 4 v. 4 overtime.
In the opening minutes of the sudden death period, Julie Lazo beat the Aylmar goalie on a nifty deke and securing the Championship for the visitors!
